STAR Logistics UK has announced its next series of hybrid and electric vehicle training courses.

It is teaming up with College Group to deliver a range of courses that offer nationally-recognised qualifications to work safely on EVs and hybrids.

This comes after data from the Institute of the Motor Industry warned of a 16,000-shortfall in EV-trained technicians in the UK by 2035.

Deputy director of operations at Logistics UK, said: “The new government pledged in its manifesto to restore the phase-out date of 2030 for new cars with internal combustion engines, so the need for skilled EV technicians has become even more pressing.”
